I was recently at Joe's in Las Vegas - and since our dinner was so fabulous we had to return the next day for lunch. And of course, I had to have the banana cream pie (BCP*) both days.It is what I live for. It is what I breathe for. It is why I work out like a crazy person prior to my trip so as to feel no guilt!! Any time I plan a few days in Las Vegas, I start fantasizing about Joe's - the crab, those unbelievable hashed brown potatoes, the delicious creamed spinach and the best banana cream pie on the dace of the earth!!!
I have searched the internet for the recipe and found (and acquired) the cookbook, but no luck with the BCP.
David, who magnificently guided us with our menu choices and took extra special care of our party (on both days), suggested I write to the chef to request the recipe.
So here I am writing, well - begging actually - as I am not too proud to beg - in hopes of fulfilling my dream of having this recipe and making this magnificent dessert.
So, if the chef is feeling charitable and willing to share the recipe, he would make this California girl totally ecstatic and very grateful.
