At Lettuce Entertain You, the health and safety of our guests and employees have always been at the core of everything we do. Since our beginning in 1971, Rich Melman understood the importance of a safe and welcoming environment and the role, it plays in the success of a restaurant.
As Joe’s begins the process to reopen slowly and safely for limited dine-in services, we are taking precautions to ensure you remain confident in dining with us and feel safe in how we operate our restaurant. The health and safety of our guests and employees always comes first. We have always been here, ready to provide our guests with a dining experience they can trust, and our employees with a workplace they can be proud of. We are ready to welcome our guests with the same level of service, food quality, and atmosphere that they have always enjoyed.
Dine-in services will remain at 50% capacity. Masks are worn by all employees at all times, and we will maintain thorough sanitation procedures and continuous hand washing.
As we put into place our new health and safety guidelines, we realize that we are living in a time of great change. Our ability to accept change will move us forward. We will continue to make changes as necessary or appropriate to our procedures and protocols.

Located just steps from the White House, Joe’s provides the ideal setting for intimate gatherings or large parties with accommodations for up to 150 guests. Private dining menus feature fresh seafood and prime steaks with our signature sides and freshly baked pies. Tuxedo-clad restaurant style service allows guests to select their entree at the time of the event. Our dedicated event planners will ensure your event is both exceptional and effortless.

Meet Our Team
I feel lucky to work at something that truly makes me happy. I started my hospitality career many years ago in New York and have been planning events in Washington D.C. since moving here in 2000. I joined the Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab team in 2016. It is a great feeling to work with such professionals who share the same goal of taking care of the guest. Meeting and exceeding guest’s needs and expectations is the most rewarding part of what we do. Each day I have the chance to help people celebrate business and social events in a beautiful restaurant with amazing food, wine and service. There is no better feeling than seeing a guest return month after month and year after year.
The best part of my job is when a guest comes to me and they don’t really know what they want but they know they want it to be the best. I love when I get to lead a guest through the vision of their cocktail reception, make wine pairing suggestions, educate them on our offerings and generally provide the Joe’s experience. I also take great pride in our six beautiful private rooms and our dedicated team who treat our guests like family.
Originally from Annapolis, I moved to DC after graduating from the University of Delaware. I started right away in the hospitality business. I quickly knew that private dining and events is where I wanted to be. Meeting new guests and exceeding their expectations is the best part of special events. I joined the Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab team in 2017. It feels great to be part of a professional team that cares for each other and works together to take care of our guests. In my spare time, I enjoy Barre classes and hanging out with my pup, Reggie.
